Lindsay McCaul to Release New Album “One More Step” August 19th

Singer/songwriter, Lindsay McCaul, will release One More Step, her first project on Centricity Music, on August 19th. The collection of eleven new songs that were co-written by McCaul, solidifies her position as one of the premiere up-and-coming singer/songwriters. The album marks the first collaboration between McCaul and producers Brent Milligan (Steven Curtis Chapman, David Crowder Band) and Jeff Pardo (Matthew West, Jonny Diaz), who also lent his award-winning songwriting skills to the record. The first single, “Empty Handed,” is already receiving radio airplay and McCaul has been busy on the road promoting the song and new project at radio stations around the country.

“I’m absolutely thrilled for this record to finally be released!,” says McCaul. “It’s been over two years in the making, and it really chronicles the different valleys and mountaintops God led me through in that season. While writing for and creating this album, I began to see more clearly that this marathon of life is made up of individual steps, each overseen by and precious to God as He uses them to lead us closer to Him. My prayer is that this album would be a tool God uses to bring encouragement, hope and comfort to each listener, wherever they are on their journey of faith.”

One More Step launches with the upbeat single that declares that only God can fill us up and we should come to him with empty hands. The ukulele driven, “Mess Like Me,” will bring a chuckle to many when it spotlights the fickleness of faith even though God remains faithful to us, Your love won’t leave/Even a mess like me. “One More Step,” which has become a show-stopper at McCaul’s concerts around the country, chronicles the life and death of her war veteran father, Ret. Col. Larry Walter Pritchett, who passed away two years ago. It’s one more step/Blink your eyes/You’ll be home on the other side/Running down the golden streets/You’ll hear a million angels sing/So one more kiss on earth is all that’s left/Before the breath of heaven fills your chest/And you finally see His face and find your rest/One more step/One more step. The album ends with the beautiful ballad, “More Certain Than The Stars,” which chronicles Jesus as our anchor.

World Vision to Present Jason Gray’s “With Every Act Of Love Tour” this Fall

The talented Jason Gray is rounding up his Centricity Music labelmates to join his upcoming headlining tour, With Every Act Of Love Tour. The tour will feature guest artists, Unspoken and Lindsay McCaul, while introducing the band, Carrollton. Presented by World Vision, the tour will run September 26 –November 11 and is scheduled to visit 21 cities, with additional dates being announced soon. Tickets for the dates are available through iTickets.com. The tour is named after Gray’s No. 1 hit single and is from his latest album, Love Will Have The Final Word that is available at all online and retail music outlets.

“I’m excited about my first headlining tour and grateful to be joined by my friends Unspoken, Lindsay McCaul, and Carrollton!,” exclaims Gray. “I look forward to singing these new songs, which are the most personal I’ve written, for the audiences so we can laugh, cry, and do some soul mining together.”

Gray adds, “There is a real sense of family among everyone at my label, Centricity Music. In fact, one of the first criteria an artist or band has to meet in order to be signed is, ‘would we have them over for dinner?’ This sense of ‘family’ runs through every relationship. With our whole tour being comprised of all Centricity artists, I’m excited for us to take this ‘family’ out on the road. Unspoken, Carrollton, and myself had the best time doing a short run of shows in the spring and we’re excited to have Lindsay McCaul join us, who is as passionate and authentic as they come. From introspective singer/songwriter songs, to rootsy foot stomping soul cries, and infectious pop anthems, this is going to be a great night of music. A family party with lots of heart!”

Recording Artist Lindsay McCaul Signs with Centricity Music

Centricity Music continues to expand its artist roster by announcing the signing of singer/songwriter Lindsay McCaul. A respected and established Christian artist, McCaul enjoyed success with her first major label album in 2012, If It Leads Me Back, which showcased her trademark introspective songwriting and warm vocals. Her first project with Centricity Music will release August 2014 and is being produced by Brent Milligan (Steven Curtis Chapman, David Crowder Band) and Jeff Pardo (Matthew West, Josh Wilson).

“I’m incredibly honored and so excited to be joining the Centricity family,” says McCaul. “I am so grateful for the chance to partner with both a label and a publishing team comprised of key people whom I have long respected. I so admire the team’s pursuit of excellence as they strive to produce art that bring glory to Jesus. I’m a lifelong, diehard Christian music fan, so I also consider it a huge honor to be joining a roster that includes some of my favorite artists. I’m very much looking forward to serving our great God together.”

“We waited a long time to get the opportunity to work with Lindsay,” says John Mays, Vice President of A&R, Centricity Music. “We first met years ago when she was still a staff worship leader in Chicago and I immediately felt a connection with who she was and the music she was making. As God would have it, the time wasn’t right back then, but now we get to celebrate a new partnership with her and a new season of the best music she’s recorded to date. I’m so proud of the work she has poured in to every note of these new songs and can’t wait for the world to hear them.”

McCaul hails from Merritt Island, FL and began writing songs when she was only 12-years-old. She moved to Chicago to attend Moody Bible Institute, where she first began leading worship and graduated with a degree in Applied Linguistics. Now living in the Nashville area with her husband Mark, she currently leads worship as an artist-in-residence at Nashville’s Fellowship Bible Church. McCaul has enjoyed an active touring schedule with high-profile acts including, Casting Crowns, Matthew West, Mercy Me, Sanctus Real, The Afters, and others.
